College-wide trips are organised each term for any student to enjoy. Regular booking sinclude Alton Towers, Thorpe Park, Paintballing, Go Karting, The Good Food Show, The Clothes Show and London Christmas Shopping. Each curriculum area will also organise it's own trips, relating directly to the area of study, so there are plenty of opportunities to experience great days out at low prices.

The college has approximately 6,500 further education students (including 500 apprentices) and 500 higher education (university-level) students.

The college’s success rates have risen over the last three years and it is now in the top five performing colleges in the south west for further education long and short courses, apprenticeships and advanced apprenticeships and Train to Gain. (*Framework for Excellence December 2011).
