Swindon College students work with Wildcats!

*

Learners from Swindon College have had the fantastic opportunity to work with the Swindon Wildcats, local Ice Hockey Team, as part of their course unit “Working to a brief in Media industries.”

The 22 students will be involved in filming the Wildcats on match days, producing video content for their website along with the player profiles and video clips for the big screen on match days.

They will work as 3 teams based on their specialities;

Team one will be filming the players on and off the ice, gathering content to be used for their website, match days and eventually a DVD of the season.

Team two will be looking at creating an interactive section on the website for viewers to click on player’s profiles and obtain information, video clips and blogs.

Team three will be producing 3D idents and stings, bumpers and content to composite on top of the video.

Paul Moss, Media lecturer said:

“The schedule is on-going and we are looking forward to following them this season with the intention of building on this to continue and support them over the coming months, possibly years.

This will allow Swindon College and the learners to gain a wider focus for the community along with improving their knowledge and skills.”
