If governance is largely a process of discussion, then the key medium for that discussion is the Governing Body meeting.

In turn, the Governing Body receives advice from its committees, where a great deal of the more detailed business of governance is conducted.

In this section of the Governors’ website, you will find the minutes of Governing Body meetings for the past 12 months and also the meetings of the Governing Body's committees.

The clerk produces a schedule of Board and committee meetings for the full academic year. He also produces an annual business plan which is a list of mandatory approvals, standing items, annual reports and key topics and themes which require Governing Body attention during an academic year.

One of the key mandatory approvals is of the Members’ Report and Financial Statements and the 2011-12 report is available below. These financial statements are externally audited and then approved by the Board. Once they are approved and signed, they are made available to the public and relevant funding bodies.
